The World Seniors Tour was introduced in 2022 as a joint venture between MODUS Sports and Jason Francis, open to all players over the age of 50.

The WSDT features four major televised tournaments each year – kicking off with the World Seniors Championship at the iconic Circus Tavern in Purfleet – former home of the PDC World Championship until 2007.

The Champion of Champions then takes place at VIVA Blackpool in March, featuring eight tournaments winners, finalists and WSDT qualifiers competing over two days.

The World Seniors Matchplay takes place at the York Barbican, featuring 16 players competing over two days of action, before the World Seniors Masters heads to Sunderland in November.

Alongside the four televised tournaments, there is a packed schedule of WST tour events throughout the year, comprised of the Target Open Series and LP Metal Detecting Series, from which prize money earned forms the overall World Seniors Order of Merit.

The World Seniors Tour has played host to a number of the sport’s household names since 2022, including 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor and former World Champions John Part, Martin Adams, Richie Burnett, Glen Durrant and Neil Duff.

Other notable names competing include former major champions Robert Thornton, Kevin Painter, John Henderson and Darryl Fitton.
