The draw for the 2024 WDF World Championship has been confirmed, with 84 players competing across four events at Lakeside.
The third staging of the WDF World Championship will take place from November 29 to December 8 at the iconic Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green.
A total of 48 men, 24 women, eight boys and four girls will compete for the respective titles and an overall prize fund of £257,000.
Andy Baetens was crowned men’s champion in 2023, but will not be on hand to defend his title after earning a PDC Tour Card at Qualifying School in January.
Beau Greaves is the reigning and back-to-back Women’s World Champion and is the number one seed following another dominant year on the circuit.
Australia’s Danny Porter is the number one seed in the men’s draw and will open up with a tie against either Belgium’s Francois Schweyen or fellow Aussie Michael Cassar.
Jimmy van Schie, the number two seed, will face either Hungary’s Patrik Kovacs or Sweden’s Bjorn Lejon, while 2022 champion Neil Duff takes on either Darren Johnson or Reece Colley.
Paul Lim, returning to the scene of his historic nine-darter back in 1990, faces a tough opener against Moreno Blom for the right to take on Hong Kong’s Kai Fan Leung in the Last 32.
Matthew Edgar, one of 21 debutants in the men’s field, will play Jarno Bottenberg, with 15th seed Ryan Hogarth awaiting the winner.
Greaves will launch her quest for a hat-trick of women’s titles with a tie against either Australia’s Amanda Loch or Finland’s Kirsi Viinikainen.
Second seed Aileen de Graaf awaits the winner of the tie between Scotland’s Lorraine Hyde and Japan’s Mayumi Ouchi, while Kirsty Hutchinson and Veronika Ihasz collide for the right to take on fourth seed Deta Hedman.
Four-time World Champion Lisa Ashton will meet teenager Sophie McKinlay, with seventh seed Irina Armstrong awaiting in the Last 16.
