The final four face off at the 2023 Boylesports World Grand Prix on Saturday as the Semi-Finals take centre stage in Leicester.
Thirty-two came, now just four remain in the hunt for the £120,000 top prize at the Morningside Arena.
One former champion remains in the running for glory, while the other three hopefuls are appearing at this stage of the competition for the first time.
The opening Semi-Final sees reigning World Champion Michael Smith take on former World Champion Gerwyn Price.
Both players are yet to drop a set in reaching the Semi-Finals, joining only Phil Taylor, Andy Jenkins and Raymond van Barneveld in doing so since the event began back in 1998.
Price, the 2020 Grand Prix champion, finished runner-up here two years ago and has picked up a second World Cup title this year, while also finishing runner-up in the Premier League.
The fourth seed has overcome world number nine Danny Noppert, recent European Tour event winner Krzysztof Ratajski and Martin Schindler to reach the Semis of this event for the fourth straight year.
Smith has finally stopped the rot in his eleventh appearance in the double-start major, having previously never made it beyond the Second Round stage.
The world number one, who has claimed the Bahrain Masters title and European Tour silverware this year, brushed aside Callan Rydz 2-0 with a 96 average in Round One, before thrashing Brendan Dolan and Andrew Gilding 3-0, meaning he has dropped just six legs in total so far.
Smith has won five of his eight meetings with Price so far this year, while the Welshman prevailed when the pair met in the opening round of this event in 2021.
The second Semi-Final sees two players in unchartered territory go head-to-head as Luke Humphries meets Joe Cullen for the first time in a TV major.
Humphries headed to Leicester in a blistering run of form, having reached a sixth Euro Tour final of the year in Hungary, before again losing out to Dave Chisnall in the final of a ProTour event last week.
The former UK Open finalist enjoyed straight sets wins over 2017 champion Daryl Gurney and debutant Luke Woodhouse, before sensationally recovering from two sets down and surviving three match darts from Peter Wright to snatch a 3-2 victory on Friday night.
Cool Hand Luke has provisionally climbed back up to world number five and could enter the top four for the first time by lifting the trophy on Sunday.
Cullen, meanwhile, produced one of the stand-out performances of the week so far to defeat Ross Smith 3-1 with a 94.6 average in a contest which featured 17 maximums, having swept aside Belgian debutant Mike De Decker in Round One.
He then edged out Chris Dobey in a five-set epic in the Quarter-Finals, sealing victory in style with a 121 checkout to move into the world’s top ten for the first time.
Semi-finalist at the recent World Matchplay, Cullen is appearing in a second successive major Semi-Final and is out to reach his first televised ranking final.
The action gets under way from 8pm BST, with Semi-Finals matches to be contested over the best of seven sets.
All sets are the best of five legs and there will be no tie break in any set. All legs must begin and end with a double, meaning that a player must hit a double before they can begin scoring in each leg.
