The top 16 seeds begin their 2024 Baltic Sea Darts Open campaigns in the Second Round in Kiel on Saturday.

Day One at the Wunderino Arena saw Premier League stars Luke Littler and Nathan Aspinall crash out, alongside the likes of Chris Dobey and Martin Schindler.

The 16 highest ranked players from the PDC ProTour Order of Merit enter the fray on Day Two, including reigning champion Dave Chisnall – who faces a clash with Latvia’s Madars Razma in the evening session.

Chisnall is the number one seed, having claimed his fourth European Tour title here last year, and faces a tricky opener against the methodical Razma – who held off a late fightback from Dobey to seal a 6-5 success on Friday.

Wessel Nijman’s reward for his First Round scalp of Littler is an all-Dutch showdown with Premier League champion Michael van Gerwen.

Nijman capitalised on an average of just 84 from Littler to clinch a 6-3 win and continue his impressive recent form, while Van Gerwen was runner-up on Night 15 of the Premier League in Leeds on Thursday and is seeking his first Euro Tour title of 2024.

Two days on from his memorable Premier League triumph in Leeds, world number one Luke Humphries returns to action to face Polish youngster Sebastian Bialecki – who overcame Jose De Sousa 6-5 in Round One.

The evening session also features a clash between five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld and former UK Open champion Danny Noppert.

Two Lakeside champions go head-to-head as 2014 winner Stephen Bunting meets reigning WDF World Champion Andy Baetens – who edged out Gabriel Clemens in a decider on Friday.

Having dumped out Aspinall on opening night, Ritchie Edhouse looks to continue his remarkable resurgent run of form when he faces two-time Euro Tour event winner Jonny Clayton.

Reigning European Champion Peter Wright comes up against 2023 UK Open champion Andrew Gilding – who thrashed Thibault Tricole 6-1 in Round One.

Krzysztof Ratajski, a former Euro Tour event winner, meets Belgian ace Mike De Decker – who knocked out International Open champion Schindler 6-3 in Round One.

The afternoon session includes a tie between former Euro Tour event winner Damon Heta, the number two seed, and World Youth finalist Gian van Veen.

Three-time Euro Tour event winner Joe Cullen looks to bounce back from his midweek ProTour disappointment when he takes on ten-time major winner James Wade – who averaged 100 in a 6-2 win over Niels Zonneveld on Friday.

Ross Smith, runner-up in the European Darts Grand Prix and semi-finalist at the Austrian Open, aims to kickstart another strong run when he faces Luke Woodhouse – who edged out Ryan Joyce in a decider.

Former Austrian Open finalist Josh Rock commences the day’s action with a tie against Host Nation qualifier Franz Roetzsch, while former World Champion Rob Cross faces Dutchman Maik Kuivenhoven.

Last year’s German Championship winner Ricardo Pietreczko faces his German compatriot Moritz Hilger – who dumped out Matthew Dennant on his debut.

Two-time major winner Daryl Gurney faces former major finalist Dirk van Duijvenbode, while multiple ranking event winner Ryan Searle meets the resurgent Jermaine Wattimena – who thrashed Brendan Dolan 6-1 with a 101 average in his opener.

The action gets under way from 12pm BST, with Second Round ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs.
