The race to the 2025 European Darts Championship | Latest qualification tables
The race to qualify for the 2025 European Championship culminates at the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim this weekend.
Following the 14th and final European Tour event of the season, the top 32 players from the European Order of Merit will make up the field for the European Championship in Dortmund – which takes place from October 23-26.
As it stands, 24 players have already guaranteed their place in the ITV-televised main event, leaving a further eight places still up for grabs.
With last year’s champion Ritchie Edhouse having failed to qualify, this year’s European Championship will be the first not to feature a defending champion.
A host of star names remain outside of the provisional qualification places ahead of this weekend’s German Championship, including multiple major finalist Dave Chisnall and former Masters champion Joe Cullen.
Chisnall is the ninth seed in the German Championship and will enter in Round Two as he looks to bridge a £2,000 gap between himself and Krzysztof Ratajski – who currently occupies the 32nd and final qualification spot.
Cullen is unseeded and will start out in Round One, needing to reach at least the quarter-final stage in order to keep his qualification hopes alive.
Chisnall has featured in all but one European Championship since 2011, while Cullen has made consecutive appearances since 2016 and is a two-time semi-finalist.
William O’Connor must also reach at least the quarter-finals in Hildesheim if he is to have any chance of gate-crashing qualification, while Karel Sedlacek requires a run to the final.
Michael Smith and Dimitri van den Bergh are among the other notable absentees from the £600,000 ranking major.
