The team pairings for the 2024 World Cup of Darts have been confirmed, with 40 nations set to battle it out in Frankfurt.
The 14th staging of the PDC World Cup will take place from June 27-30 at the Eissporthalle as 40 pairings compete for £450,000 in prize money.
The revamped format introduced in 2023 will return this year, with group and knockout stages consisting of all doubles matches across four days of action.
The top four ranked nations, based on the lowest cumulative PDC Order of Merit ranking of the two competing players, will be seeded and will enter at the Second Round stage.
The other 36 teams will be split into 12 groups of three for the round-robin phase, including 12 seeded nations, from which each group winner will progress.
Defending champions Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton are seeking a third title for Wales, while last year’s runner-up Peter Wright and Gary Anderson return for Scotland.
World number one Luke Humphries will make his debut for England alongside 2023 World Champion Michael Smith, while Josh Rock makes his debut for Northern Ireland alongside veteran Brendan Dolan.
Teng-Lieh Pupo and An-Sheng Lu will make history as the first Chinese Taipei pairing to compete in the event, while Norway feature for the first time since 2016.
Paul Lim makes his tenth PDC World Cup appearance at the age of 70 and partners Harith Lim for Singapore once again.
Kim Huybrechts’ participation for Belgium remains in severe doubt after he sustained a serious injury to his throwing arm last month, with Mike De Decker potentially partnering Dimitri van den Bergh for the first time.
Bahrain, Guyana and Iceland will all return for second appearances following debuts last year.
The draw and schedule of play is expected to be confirmed in due course.
