The 2023 World Seniors Matchplay takes place in York, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.
The second staging of the over-50s major will feature 16 players battling it out at the York Barbican from September 2-3.
A high quality field includes six former World Champions and a host of recent PDC Tour Card holders as they vie for the £10,000 top prize in the final televised seniors event of the year.
Robert Thornton is the defending champion after he defeated Phil Taylor 12-10 in last year’s final in Hull.
Thornton, the most decorated player since the inception of the World Seniors Tour, has since gone on to retain the World Seniors Championship title back in February.
Taylor remains in pursuit of an elusive maiden seniors title, and is joined in the field by other former World Champions including John Part, Glen Durrant, Scott Mitchell, Neil Duff and Trina Gulliver.
Leonard Gates, who secured the Champion of Champions title in March before adding the World Seniors Masters crown in June, is targeting a hat-trick of silverware this season.
Scotland’s John Henderson and Jim McEwan will make their televised seniors debuts, while Paul Hogan and Colin McGarry also head to York on the back of strong performances in the qualifiers and Open Series.
Richie Howson has lost in all three televised finals on the World Seniors circuit this year and is aiming to go one better, while former Players Champion Kevin Painter and 2022 World Seniors Masters champion David Cameron also vie for glory.
Deta Hedman replaces Martin Adams in the line-up after the three-time BDO World Champion withdrew for personal reasons.
All matches up to and including the Quarter-Finals are to be contested over the best of 15 legs, while Semi-Finals and the final are the best of 17.
Matches will be extended for a maximum of six extra legs if necessary before a sudden death leg is required.
