World Seniors Darts Championship 2023 Draw | Thornton to face Scholten
The draw for the 2023 World Seniors Darts Championship has been confirmed, with Robert Thornton launching the defence of his title against Roland Scholten at The Circus Tavern.
The second staging of the over-50s event will feature an expanded field of 32 players competing for £200,000 in prize money at the iconic Circus Tavern in Purfleet – the former home of the PDC World Championship.
The tournament, which features a host of former World Champions, major title winners and qualifiers, will take place from February 9-12.
Thornton, the number one seed, has been drawn to face former UK Open champion Scholten – one of eight invited players in the field.
Sixteen-time World Champion Phil Taylor starts his quest for a first Seniors title with a show-down against Northern Ireland’s Colin McGarry in one of the stand-out ties of the First Round.
