Wayne Mardle and Glen Durrant amongst revamped ITV Darts line-up as new presenters confirmed

Wayne Mardle and Glen Durrant have been named amongst a revamped ITV Darts line-up ahead of the new season.

A major overhaul to the previous and longstanding ITV Sport team will see a host of esteemed pundits and commentators join the coverage.

With production having moved under the banner of Matchroom, the PDC has sharpened up its coverage by combining fresh presentation with familiar voices who work across the tour.

As part of the PDC’s new three-year deal with ITV, the coverage of major events including the Winmau World Masters, UK Open, World Series of Darts Finals, European Championship and Players Championship Finals will be fronted by Pete Graves.

Graves, 43, joined Sky Sports News as a reporter in 2009, but soon went on to anchor live football and rugby union matches.

The World Series events, starting with the Bahrain Darts Masters and Saudi Arabia Darts Masters, will be anchored by Gabbie Partington – who has previously provided coverage on talkSPORT radio, as well as hosting ‘The Darts Show Live’.

Mardle has worked exclusively on Sky Sports events since retiring from professional darts in 2011, but is no longer contractually tied to the broadcaster and will work on ITV events for the first time alongside his existing Sky commitments.

The three-time major finalist has commentated on a host of the sport’s most iconic moments, including the ‘perfect leg’ between Michael van Gerwen and Michael Smith in the 2023 World Championship final and has been a stalwart of Sky’s coverage for the past two decades.

Mardle will be joined by three-time Lakeside Champion Glen Durrant – who joined the Sky Sports team in 2023 and will continue to work across the sport’s elite events on both channels.

Mark Webster has been a regular feature on ITV’s coverage over recent years, and the Welshman will continue to play a prominent role in their revamped production.

Chris Mason has also been retained amongst the line-up, having been a stalwart of ITV’s punditry team since 2010.

Respected commentator Dan Dawson, a mainstay of the PDC’s European and ProTour events who also works across the Sky Sports majors, will remain an integral part of ITV’s free-to-air coverage.

Mark Wilson and Ian Danter, who have played a huge part in talkSPORT’s growing darts coverage over recent years, also join the roster.
