Premier League Darts 2026 Night 15 | Birmingham Preview and Order of Play
Premier League Darts heads to Birmingham for Night 15 on Thursday with a potentially pivotal penultimate night of fixtures on the cards.
Jonny Clayton and Luke Littler have already secured their spot in Finals Night, leaving five players to battle it out for the two remaining places at The O2 later this month.
Just five points separate third to sixth in the league table, with a nightly title for any of those players potentially proving decisive.
Gerwyn Price remains handily poised in third spot, but his play-off bid has somewhat stalled in recent weeks, with just one win from his last five matches.
Price, twice a nightly winner this season, is three points clear of fifth spot ahead of a crucial showdown with Michael van Gerwen at the Utilita Arena.
The Welshman has won both of his Premier League meetings with MVG this season, including the Night Two final in Antwerp, and will be determined to make it a hat-trick and take a significant step towards a return to The O2.
Van Gerwen, who missed out on a play-off place 12 months ago, dropped out of the top four for the first time since Night Seven as a result of last week’s deciding-leg defeat to Luke Littler in Leeds.
The seven-time champion averaged 101 in defeat but continued that form into Tuesday’s ProTour event – picking up his first Players Championship title since October 2024.
Luke Humphries capitalised on MVG’s quarter-final exit last week by reaching a second successive nightly final, though he was denied a hat-trick of titles in Leeds by his nemesis Littler.
Humphries has spent just three of the 14 weeks so far inside the play-off places but looks to be timing his run to perfection as he bids to ensure he will be present to defend his title in the capital.
Humphries, whose 100.53 tournament average is the highest of the field, looks to continue his dominant recent record over Stephen Bunting.
The world number two has won five of their last six meetings in all competitions, though the pair have shared one win apiece in this season’s Premier League.
Bunting can still mathematically make the play-offs but requires at least one nightly title from the next two outings if he is to do so.
The Bullet was beaten in a deciding leg by Humphries in last week’s semi-finals despite averaging 105.6, missing three match darts in the process.
The opening match of the night sees European Champion Gian van Veen take on the eliminated Josh Rock.
Van Veen has found himself outside of the top four since Night Six despite reaching four nightly finals, and the Dutchman can ill-afford to leave Birmingham empty-handed if he is to have any chance of reaching Finals Night in his debut campaign.
Whilst his recent ProTour and European Tour results have left much to be desired, Van Veen has preserved his best for the big stage, registering successive ton-plus averages in Aberdeen before losing out in a deciding leg to Bunting in Leeds.
Rock is playing for pride with the damage effectively done by starting the season with seven straight defeats, though he has since taken his points tally to eight thanks to four semi-final runs.
The Northern Irishman heads to the second city riding high after securing the Austrian Darts Open title on Sunday and reaching the quarter-finals of Players Championship 15 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the top two in the table collide as 2024 champion Luke Littler faces 2021 champion Jonny Clayton.
Littler stands on the cusp of another slice of Premier League history as he bids to become the first player to win four consecutive nights since the introduction of this format in 2022.
The teenage sensation, who starts the night five points clear of Clayton, could wrap up top spot with a win over the Welshman and a seventh nightly title of the season would see him eclipse the record he set last year.
Clayton, who has picked up four nightly titles and reached a further two finals on his Premier League return, has won three of his six meetings with Littler in this year’s competition.
He continued his impressive run of form by reaching the final of Players Championship 16 in Leicester on Wednesday, losing out 8-3 to Andrew Gilding.
The action gets under way from 7pm BST, with all matches to be contested over the best of 11 legs.
