The race to secure places in the 2020 Players Championship Finals draws to a close in Coventry on Saturday.

Following the fifth and final PDC Winter Series event, the top 64 players on the Players Championship Order of Merit will form the field for Players Championship Finals later this month.

This year’s Players Championship Finals will be held behind closed doors at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry from November 27-29.

The qualifying criteria is solely based on prize money won in the 24 Players Championships events held throughout the season.

As it stands, reigning World Champion Peter Wright will be seeded number one, ahead of World Grand Prix and Grand Slam champion Gerwyn Price.

Defending champion Michael van Gerwen currently occupies the number three seeding, ahead of Premier League finalist Nathan Aspinall in fourth.

Further down the Order of Merit, a number of players face a make-or-break end to the Winter Series as they look to rubber-stamp a top 64 finish.

Six players are locked on £8,500, four of which occupy top 64 places: Gavin Carlin, Adam Hunt, Scott Mitchell and Benito van de Pas.

Croatia’s Boris Krcmar and Dutchman Niels Zonneveld sit outside the top 64 on the countback rule and must win at least one game on Saturday in order to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Darius Labanauskas, Conan Whitehead, Ryan Meikle, Rowby-John Rodriguez, Kai Fan Leung and Christian Bunse must also avoid a First Round exit if they are to remain in contention.

Karel Sedlacek, Justin Pipe, James Wilson, Josh Payne, and Nick Kenny must reach at least the Third Round in order to remain in the running, while those below require a run to the Last 16 onwards.
