Entries confirmed for Players Championship events 1-2
The entries for the opening Players Championship weekend of the year have been confirmed, with 128 players heading to Barnsley.
Players Championship events 1-2 will be held from February 11-12 at the Barnsley Metrodome, each offering a total prize fund of £100,000.
All winnings counting towards the PDC Order of Merit, ProTour Order of Merit and Players Championship Order of Merit.
New Tour Card holders Corey Cadby and Christian Perez are both absent from the opening two events of the season and will be replaced by Thibault Tricole and Cameron Crabtree.
Luke Humphries is the number one seed and is joined in a star-studded field by reigning World Champion Michael Smith and reigning World Matchplay and Premier League champion Michael van Gerwen.
All eight current Premier League players will be in action, as well as the likes of Gary Anderson, Joe Cullen, Gabriel Clemens, James Wade and Dirk van Duijvenbode.
Qualifying School stars including Graham Hall, Daniel Klose, Jacques Labre, Pascal Rupprecht, Owen Roelofs, Jeffrey Sparidaans, Graham Usher and Adam Warner will make their full-time ProTour debuts.
