The sixth European Tour silverware of the season is up for grabs in Sindelfingen on Sunday as the last 16 battle it out at the European Darts Grand Prix.

A £30,000 top prize is on offer at the Glaspalast as seven seeds and nine qualifiers go head-to-head over two sessions.

The afternoon session plays host to the Third Round ties, before the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and final follow in the evening.

Reigning champion Gary Anderson, who ended a ten-year wait for European Tour glory when he triumphed here last year, continues the defence of his title with a clash against Rob Cross.

Anderson marked his return to European Tour action for the first time since March with a blistering display to deny Gian van Veen in a deciding leg on Saturday, averaging 110 with the aid of nine 180s.

The Flying Scotsman will be keen to sustain that form when he faces former World Champion Cross – who defied a 100.5 average from Mike De Decker to defeat the World Grand Prix champion 6-3 in his opener.

World number one Luke Humphries resumes his quest for an eighth European Tour title and a first of 2025 when he faces 2023 World Champion Michael Smith.

Humphries enjoyed an emphatic return to Euro Tour action by thrashing Connor Scutt 6-1 on Saturday, while Smith had to survive two match darts from host nation qualifier Daniel Klose before snatching victory in a deciding leg with an 88 average.

Martin Schindler’s pursuit of back-to-back Euro Tour titles continues with a showdown against Dirk van Duijvenbode.

Schindler scooped his third Euro Tour title at the Austrian Open last weekend and has returned to home soil in Germany to defeat Callan Rydz and in-form Josh Rock to extend his winning run.

Van Duijvenbode’s resurgent form continued as he knocked out Michael van Gerwen 6-3 on Saturday with a 101 average, having also reached the quarter-finals in Graz last weekend.

Ross Smith, last weekend’s runner-up, resumes his bid to go one better in Sindelfingen when he takes on European Championship semi-finalist Luke Woodhouse – who dispatched Chris Dobey in round two.

Two former UK Open champions collide as 13th seed Danny Noppert takes on Andrew Gilding – who has come through last-leg deciders to deny Gabriel Clemens and Jonny Clayton so far this weekend.

Five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld aims to follow up his impressive second round scalp of Gerwyn Price and bolster his hopes of World Matchplay qualification when he faces Grand Slam of Darts finalist Martin Lukeman in the afternoon’s opener.

Multiple Players Championship event winner Cameron Menzies – who saw off Stephen Bunting in round two – takes on another former World Champion in Peter Wright in what promises to be an entertaining all-Scottish affair.

UK Open finalist James Wade – who saw off Joe Cullen in round two – comes up against in-form Dutchman Niels Zonneveld – who dumped out Nathan Aspinall on Saturday to remain firmly in the hunt for World Matchplay qualification.

The action gets under way from 12pm BST, with Third Round and Quarter-Final ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs, Semi-Finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
