The seventh European Tour silverware of the season is up for grabs in Stuttgart on Sunday as the final 16 vie for European Darts Grand Prix glory.

Six seeds were sent packing on a dramatic Day Two at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, including three of the top four, opening up the top half of the draw in particular.

The afternoon session on Day Three plays host to the Third Round ties, before the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and final take place in the evening.

Among the stand-out matches in the Last 16 is an all-Premier League clash between table topper Jonny Clayton and play-off chasing Peter Wright.

Both are aiming to end considerable droughts on the European Tour, with Clayton’s sole success coming in 2018, while Wright last lifted a trophy five years ago.

Martin Lukeman continues his quest to reach a second Euro Tour final of the season when he faces home favourite Martin Schindler.

Lukeman pulled off a remarkable 6-1 rout of Michael van Gerwen in Saturday’s Second Round and now aims to silence the partisan Stuttgart crowd by ending German hopes in the event.

UK Open champion Danny Noppert, who overcame Michael Smith on Saturday in a repeat of their final in Minehead, now faces emerging star Nathan Rafferty.

World Youth finalist Rafferty stunned Dirk van Duijvenbode with a 101.7 average and four 180s in a 6-3 victory to reach this stage of a Euro Tour event for the first time.

Luke Humphries resumes his quest for back-to-back Euro Tour titles and a third of the campaign when he meets former Players Championship event winner Joe Murnan.

Humphries, now into the world’s top 16, held his nerve to edge past Ryan Meikle in a deciding leg on Saturday, while Murnan followed up a 6-0 whitewash of Lukas Wenig by denying Dimitri van den Bergh in a last-leg shoot-out.

In-form Austrian Rowby-John Rodriguez is aiming to secure back-to-back Quarter-Final appearances in as many weekends and comes up against former German Championship winner Daryl Gurney – who will be eyeing a marked improvement on his match average of 84 against Eddie Lovely.

Rob Cross, a six-time Euro Tour finalist, is out to go one better than his runner-up spot in Prague a week ago, but faces a tough test against world number 14 Krzysztof Ratajski – who averaged 99 with six from six on the doubles in defeating Kim Huybrechts.

A mouth-watering clash sees former World Series event winner Damon Heta, the number eight seed, take on three-time ProTour event winner Ryan Searle.

Heta held firm to deny Mickey Mansell in a deciding leg on Saturday, while Searle sealed a commanding 6-2 win over Adam Gawlas to avenge his defeat in Prague a week earlier.

Seven-time Players Championship event winner Brendan Dolan and recent ProTour finalist Andrew Gilding meet for the second time on the Euro Tour this season, with Dolan having pulled off a 6-0 whitewash at the European Open with a 103.6 average.

The action gets under way from 12pm BST, with Third Round and Quarter-Final ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs, Semi-Finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
