The 2025 Czech Darts Open draws to a close in Prague on Sunday as the 16 remaining hopefuls battle it out for the title.

A £30,000 top prize is on offer at the PVA Expo as 12 seeds and four qualifiers go head-to-head over two sessions.

The afternoon session plays host to the Third Round ties, before the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and final follow in the evening.

Reigning champion Luke Humphries steps up his quest for a third Czech Darts Open title with a tie against German number one Martin Schindler.

Humphries is bidding for his first European Tour silverware of the season, having lost in two semi-finals, and was most recently runner-up in the New Zealand Masters three weeks ago.

The world number one got his campaign under way with a scrappy 6-4 win over Dirk van Duijvenbode on Saturday, averaging just 86.5, and will be eyeing a marked improvement against the recent European Tour specialist.

Schindler has racked up three Euro Tour titles within the last 18 months, including this year’s Austrian Open, and began with a routine 6-3 win over Madars Razma.

Meanwhile, Luke Littler resumes his bid for back-to-back European Tour titles when he comes up against World Youth Champion Gian van Veen.

Littler has won four of his last five tournaments, including the World Matchplay, Australian Masters, New Zealand Masters and last week’s Flanders Darts Trophy.

The reigning World Champion swept aside Cameron Menzies 6-2 on Saturday and now faces Van Veen in a repeat of the 2023 World Youth Championship final – which the Warrington ace won 6-4 in Minehead.

Van Veen was runner-up in this year’s German Darts Grand Prix and averaged just shy of 100 in defeating his World Cup team-mate Danny Noppert 6-2 in the Second Round following on from a 6-3 success over Maik Kuivenhoven with a 103.7 average on Friday.

Peter Wright, the 2023 Czech Open champion, looks to turn his fortunes around when he faces world number four Stephen Bunting.

Wright recorded his lowest-ever European Tour average (74.62) in a 6-1 defeat to Luke Woodhouse last weekend, but a 83.2 average was enough to guide him to victory over Slovenia’s Benjamin Pratnemer on Saturday.

Bunting, meanwhile, is bidding for his second Euro Tour silverware of the season following on from April’s International Open, and ‘The Bullet’ began with a 6-4 win over Kevin Doets in Round Two.

Former European Champions James Wade and Ross Smith go head-to-head, with Wade looking to pick up from where he left off in defeating Nathan Aspinall with a 107.7 average on Saturday.

Michael van Gerwen also aims to back up a magnificent opening display when he faces last weekend’s Flanders Trophy finalist Josh Rock.

Van Gerwen averaged 112.7 in an emphatic 6-0 whitewash of Mike De Decker and is through to the Last 16 on the European Tour for the first time since April’s German Darts Grand Prix – a tournament he went on to win.

Rock swept aside William O’Connor 6-2 with the aid of an audacious 101 checkout (bull, single one, bull) and notably defeated Van Gerwen 13-11 in the Second Round of the recent World Matchplay.

A familiar fixture sees Welsh World Cup team-mates Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton lock horns once again.

Having missed out on the Flanders Darts Trophy through injury, Price marked his return to action with a 100.8 average in a 6-2 success over Niko Springer.

Price is eyeing a second successive Euro Tour title, having triumphed at the Baltic Sea Darts Open in his last outing, but will be poised for a typically tough test from his close friend Clayton – who saw off Ryan Joyce 6-2 on Saturday.

Two-time European Tour event winner Rob Cross takes on former Players Championship event winner Wessel Nijman – twice a semi-finalist on the European Tour this season.

Cross thrashed Krzysztof Ratajski 6-1 in his opener, while Nijman followed up Friday’s narrow 6-5 win over Richard Veenstra with another dramatic deciding-leg success over Damon Heta.

The final match of the afternoon sees European Championship runner-up Jermaine Wattimena face former Players Championship Finals runner-up Ryan Searle.

Searle averaged 103.2 in a 6-4 defeat of Dave Chisnall on Saturday, while Wattimena continued his impressive recent run of form by dispatching Chris Dobey 6-2.

The action gets under way from 12pm BST, with Third Round and Quarter-Final ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs, Semi-Finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
