The race to the 2026 European Darts Championship | Latest qualification table
The race for European Darts Championship qualification draws to a close following the final European Tour event of the season in Maastricht this weekend.
Following the conclusion of the Dutch Darts Championship (ET15), the top 32 players on the European Tour Order of Merit will form the field for next week’s European Championship.
The 19th staging of the European Championship will take place at the Westfalenhallen in Dortmund from October 22-25, featuring an increased prize fund of £750,000.
A host of big names face a crucial campaign in Maastricht as they bid to secure a coveted spot in next week’s televised ranking major.
Stephen Bunting currently occupies the 32nd and final qualification spot, despite a dismal European Tour quarter-final which has seen him reach just one quarter-final in 12 appearances as a seed.
Bunting holds a £2,000 buffer over nearest challenger Karel Sedlacek – who enjoyed a fine run to the quarter-finals of last week’s Swiss Darts Trophy.
Martin Schindler, a three-time European Tour event winner, also faces a potentially nervy weekend, having failed to progress beyond Round Two in his last eight European Tour outings.
Joe Cullen, twice a European Championship semi-finalist, much reach at least the Third Round of the Dutch Darts Championship if he is to have any chance of clinching a return to Dortmund.
Michael Smith, European Championship runner-up in 2022, requires a run to at least the quarter-finals in order to preserve his qualification hopes.
Former European Champion Ross Smith is guaranteed to be the number one seed ahead of Wessel Nijman, with both having picked up two European Tour titles this season.
