Jackpotjoy Sister Sites: Every Casino on the Same Licence

Thirteen domains sit on Jackpotjoy’s Gambling Commission licence. Nine of them are white labels, meaning the company that answers to the regulator does not own the brand on the front door.

Two of those nine are Virgin Games and Monopoly Casino. Neither holds a licence of its own.

Jackpotjoy UK Facing Sister Casino Sites

Jackpotjoy is operated by Gamesys Operations Limited, a Gibraltar company holding Gambling Commission account 38905. The account carries remote bingo, remote casino and two betting licences, covering real and virtual events.

Thirteen domains, but nothing like thirteen casinos.

The Rainbow Riches name alone accounts for seven of the thirteen domains, because rainbowriches.com, rainbowriches.co.uk, rainbowrichescasino.com, rainbowrichescasino.co.uk, rainbowrichesbingo.co.uk, rainbowslots.com and rainbowslots.co.uk are all registered separately. Strip the duplicates and you are looking at six or seven actual places to play.

Which is worth holding onto when a sister-site page promises you a dozen alternatives. Count the casinos, not the web addresses.

Monopoly Casino is unusually direct about the arrangement on its own about page: it “was launched in 2016 by Hasbro”. Most of the others say nothing at all. Jackpotjoy does not even have an about page, which for a brand trading since 2002 is a choice.

Virgin and Monopoly do not hold gambling licences. Gamesys does

Nine of the thirteen domains carry White Label status on the register. That means a third party owns the brand and trades on Gamesys’s licence, platform and compliance function.

Virgin Games is one. Monopoly Casino is another.

Both are household names, and neither is a gambling company. Hasbro owns Monopoly. Virgin is Virgin. What they have done is license the name to an operator who holds the permissions and runs the casino behind it, which is how a board game ends up with an online slots lobby.

Gamesys did buy Virgin Games outright back in January 2013. It now appears as a white label rather than an owned brand, which suggests the arrangement has since changed hands again.

None of this makes them worse casinos. It does change who you are dealing with. Chase an unresolved complaint at a white label and the brand’s support desk answers first, but the regulatory obligation sits with Gamesys as the licence holder, and that is where it ends up. This is the detail that makes the public register worth the two minutes.

megawayscasino.com is listed on Gamesys’s account as Inactive. The same domain appears on SkillOnNet’s account, number 39326, as Active.

The casino’s own about page settles which way round it goes: “Megaways Casino is a UK online casino launched in 2026” and “we’re operated by Skill On Net”.

So the brand has moved from one licensee to another, and both records are still standing. If you were checking only the Gamesys licence you would conclude Megaways Casino was dead. Check only SkillOnNet’s and you would never know it used to live somewhere else.

It is also a reminder that sister-site lists date badly. Megaways Casino was a Jackpotjoy stablemate. It is now a PlayOJO one. Nothing about the casino’s front end announced the change.

Jackpotjoy has been sold, renamed after, and bought back

The corporate history here is genuinely odd, and it explains why older guides put Jackpotjoy in the wrong family.

Gamesys was founded in 2001. It sold the Jackpotjoy brand to The Intertain Group in February 2015. Intertain then thought so much of its purchase that in January 2017 it renamed the entire company Jackpotjoy.

Today Jackpotjoy sits back on a Gamesys licence, and Gamesys itself was bought by the American operator Bally’s Corporation in a $2.7 billion deal that completed on 1 October 2021.

Which is how Bally Casino ended up as a sister site to a British bingo brand from 2002.

The practical point: a brand’s sister sites are whoever holds the licence this week. Jackpotjoy has changed hands twice in a decade, and every time it moved, its siblings changed with it.

This network can take a bet, which most casino groups cannot

Gamesys holds two betting licences on account 38905, covering both real and virtual events. That is unusual for a bingo-led operator and it shows on the sites.

Jackpotjoy runs a full sportsbook. So does Bally Casino. Football, racing, in-play, the lot, sitting behind the same login as the bingo rooms.

Worth knowing if you back the darts, because plenty of casino networks simply cannot offer it. Two limits worth stating, because we would rather you checked our work than took it on trust.

It does not say who owns a white label. The register tells you Virgin Games and Monopoly Casino are white labels on Gamesys’s licence. It does not name the brand owner behind either. For that you are reading the casino’s own terms and footer, and Monopoly Casino naming Hasbro on its about page is the exception rather than the rule.

It lags reality. Megaways Casino is the proof, sitting on two licences at once while the move completes. Elsewhere we have found brands still listed months after the operator publicly closed them. Treat the register as the best available record rather than a live feed.

What it is very good at is answering the only question that really matters when something goes wrong: which company is legally responsible for this casino.

What follows you across the network

Account restrictions travel. Risk and responsible-gambling decisions are taken by the licence holder, and Gamesys holds the licence for every brand on 38905, white labels included.
