Belgian Darts Open 2026 | Day Three Preview and Order of Play
The third European Tour silverware of the season is up for grabs as the 16 remaining players do battle at the Belgian Darts Open on Sunday.
Ten seeds and six qualifiers remain in contention for the £35,000 top prize at the Oktoberhallen as they face off over two sessions.
The afternoon session plays host to the Last 16 ties, before the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final follow in the evening.
Luke Littler is bidding to complete a hat-trick of Belgian Darts Open titles, and the world number one puts his unbeaten record on the line against Niels Zonneveld in Round Three.
Littler extended his streak to 12 matches unbeaten in Wieze by defeating Croatia’s Boris Krcmar 6-2 with a 104.7 average on Saturday.
The back-to-back World Champion, who took the Premier League Night Seven title in Dublin on Thursday, now faces a stern test against Dutch left-hander Zonneveld – who reached the semi-finals of last week’s European Darts Trophy and knocked out home favourite Mike De Decker in a deciding leg on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Luke Humphries steps up his pursuit of a ninth European Tour title with a clash against two-time Players Championship event winner Jermaine Wattimena.
Humphries held off a spirited late fightback from Dirk van Duijvenbode to seal a 6-4 victory in his opener, while Wattimena saw off Ryan Meikle 6-3.
Third seed Michael van Gerwen, the most successful player in European Tour history, takes on two-time major winner Daryl Gurney.
Van Gerwen averaged 99.3 in a 6-4 victory over Mickey Mansell to get off and running on Saturday, while Gurney followed up his 6-1 rout of Ian White by dispatching 14th seed Damon Heta 6-3.
Kim Huybrechts is one of two home hopefuls left standing in the competition, and the Belgian star comes up against former Masters champion Chris Dobey.
Huybrechts has already seen off Niko Springer with a 101 average and dumped out seventh seed Josh Rock 6-4 from 4-2 down on Saturday evening, while Dobey defeated an out of sorts Dave Chisnall 6-3 to get his campaign under way.
Premier League leader Jonny Clayton, who averaged 98.3 in a 6-3 win over Sebastian Bialecki on Saturday, now comes up against former European Champion Ross Smith.
Former Lakeside Champion Andy Baetens looks to delight his home crowd once again when he meets three-time European Tour event winner Martin Schindler.
Baetens has already put former Masters champions Joe Cullen and Stephen Bunting to the sword, while Schindler started out with a 6-3 win over Willie O’Connor.
Having knocked out Krzysztof Ratajski with a 102 average before brushing aside James Wade, resurgent Spaniard Cristo Reyes looks to continue his blistering run of form when he faces former European Tour finalist Ryan Joyce – who dumped out Nathan Aspinall in Round Two.
Former UK Open champion Danny Noppert continues his pursuit of a maiden European Tour title when he faces World Championship semi-finalist Ryan Searle.
The action gets under way from 12pm GMT, with Last 16 and quarter-final ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs, semi-finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
