The seeded stars commence their 2026 European Tour campaigns in Krakow on Saturday as the Poland Darts Open continues.

The opening day of the all-new European Tour event saw the likes of Dave Chisnall, Dirk van Duijvenbode and Damon Heta crash out in round one.

The 16 seeds enter the fray in the second round as they bid to get off and running in front of a bumper crowd at the EXPO Krakow.

Krzysztof Ratajski is the sole Polish representative left standing in the draw, and the former European Tour event winner faces a showdown with world number two Luke Humphries.

Ratajski raised the roof by defeating Mickey Mansell 6-3 on Friday, and now comes up against the Premier League champion as he seeks revenge for last year’s defeats in both the World Grand Prix and European Championship.

Reigning World Champion Luke Littler looks to get back to winning ways when he faces former World Grand Prix champion Mike De Decker.

Littler has endured a below-par start to the Premier League campaign, winning just one match across the opening three nights, but starts his quest for a fifth European Tour title against the Belgian number one.

De Decker, who remarkably squandered a two-set lead against Kenya’s David Munyua in the recent World Championship, overcame German debutant Marvin Kraft 6-4 in round one despite an average of just 84.

The evening session also sees reigning European Champion Gian van Veen begin his latest quest for a maiden European Tour title with a tie against last year’s European Grand Prix runner-up Andrew Gilding – who averaged 106.5 in a 6-3 win over Jeffrey de Graaf on Friday.

Less than 48 hours after claiming the Premier League Night Three title in Glasgow, Jonny Clayton returns to action to face a resurgent Adam Gawlas – who dumped out Van Duijvenbode in the opening round.

Josh Rock, who sits bottom of the Premier League table after three straight defeats to start his debut season, looks to get back to winning ways when he faces Republic of Ireland number one – Willie O’Connor.

Stephen Bunting, who has also started the Premier League campaign with three straight defeats, faces a tricky opener in Krakow against Dutch left-hander Niels Zonneveld.

Former World Champion Michael Smith looks to take full advantage of a late call-up to the event via the reserve list when he comes up against former Masters champion Joe Cullen – who averaged 99 with the aid of four 180s in a 6-2 win over Krzysztof Kciuk on Friday.

Callan Rydz was also handed a late call-up following the withdrawal of Michael van Gerwen, and he takes on his close friend and former European Tour finalist Luke Woodhouse in Round Two.

The afternoon session includes a clash between two-time World Champion Gary Anderson – European Darts Grand Prix winner last year – and recent Players Championship event winner Wessel Nijman.

Ten-time major winner James Wade, whose last European Tour title came a decade ago, starts out against two-time ProTour event winner Cameron Menzies – who landed an astonishing nine 180s in a 6-4 win over Ritchie Edhouse on Friday afternoon.

Danny Noppert, runner-up in last year’s Hungarian Darts Trophy, faces Jermaine Wattimena – twice a Players Championship event winner last season.

Nathan Aspinall, who bagged a hat-trick of European Tour titles in a memorable 2025 campaign, opens up against Darryl Pilgrim – who came through a gruelling clash with Chisnall in Round One.

Former European Champion Ross Smith, runner-up in last year’s Austrian Open, meets two-time major winner Daryl Gurney – whose maiden European Tour title came back in 2019.

World Championship semi-finalist Ryan Searle faces a tricky opener against Spanish star Cristo Reyes – who dumped out Hungarian Trophy champion Niko Springer 6-3 on Friday evening.

Chris Dobey commences his latest quest for an elusive maiden European Tour title with a tie against Connor Scutt – who averaged 98.3 in a 6-4 success over Heta in Round One.

The opening match of the afternoon sees three-time European Tour event winner Martin Schindler take on Croatian trailblazer Boris Krcmar – averaged 102.4 in a 6-3 win over Ryan Joyce in his opener.

The action gets under way from 12pm GMT, with second round matches to be contested over the best of 11 legs.
