The final two semi-final spots are up for grabs at the 2025 Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton on Saturday.

Former champions Gerwyn Price and Luke Humphries have already booked their place in Sunday afternoon’s semi-finals at the Aldersley Leisure Village, leaving a quartet of in-form hopefuls battling to join them.

Saturday’s opener sees world number 11 Danny Noppert take on world number 71 Lukas Wenig in a repeat of their group stage showdown.

The pair met seven days ago as Noppert snatched a 5-4 victory after punishing seven missed match darts from Wenig.

However, it was the German who went on to finish top of Group H courtesy of his superior legs difference over Noppert.

Wenig has enjoyed a dream debut Grand Slam campaign, defeating compatriot Niko Springer 10-8 to continue his progress into a first major ranking quarter-final.

The former power lifter is now provisionally ranked inside the world’s top 64 as he bids to save his Tour Card come the end of the season.

Noppert, meanwhile, has continued his clinical run of consistency on the big stage and is out to reach a third consecutive major semi-final and a fourth of the year.

The former UK Open champion, who reached the Last Four of the World Masters, World Grand Prix and European Championship, is now back among the world’s top ten following his 10-6 success over Dutch rival Michael van Gerwen in the Last 16.

The winner will face a formidable task against either defending champion Luke Littler or World Cup champion Josh Rock.

The box office duo face off in a repeat of their epic World Matchplay semi-final in July which saw Littler land a nine-darter en route to a 17-14 victory with a 107.5 average to Rock’s 104.

Littler stormed to the top of Group E with maximum points, dropping just five legs in the process, before thrashing Wessel Nijman 10-4 with a 105.4 average in the Last 16.

The 18-year-old has extended his unbeaten run in this event to 11 matches and is bidding to become only the fourth player to retain this title since 2007.

Additionally, ‘The Nuke’ would become world number one for the first time if he was to lift the Eric Bristow Trophy once again.

Rock is through to a third televised ranking quarter-final of the year and is looking to match his run to the Last Four of the UK Open and World Matchplay.

The Northern Irishman finished top of a formidable Group F which also housed Nijman, Gian van Veen and Lisa Ashton, but was forced to dig deep to deny Connor Scutt in a deciding leg in the Last 16 with an average of just 89.7.

Rocky is bidding to revenge over Littler at the third time of asking and one which would see him enter the world’s top eight for the first time.

The action gets under way from 7pm GMT, with quarter-final matches to be contested over the best of 31 legs.
