The seeded players commence their Czech Darts Open campaigns on Saturday as the Second Round action takes place in Prague.

Day One of the season’s tenth European Tour event saw the likes of Daryl Gurney, Joe Cullen and Raymond van Barneveld bow out, now the Order of Merit seeds take to the PVA Expo stage on Day Two as they aim to safely progress to Sunday’s Last 16.

Top seed Luke Humphries launches the defence of his title with a showdown against in-form Dirk van Duijvenbode in the evening session.

Humphries is bidding for his first European Tour silverware of the season, having lost in two semi-finals, and was most recently runner-up in the New Zealand Masters three weeks ago.

Van Duijvenbode, meanwhile, is looking to avoid a third consecutive second round exit on the European Tour, but began brightly by defeating Norway’s Cor Dekker 6-4 with a 101.4 average on Friday.

Reigning World Champion Luke Littler commences his quest for back-to-back European Tour titles when he faces Cameron Menzies.

Having stormed to successive World Series titles in Australia and New Zealand last month, Littler continued his prolific run by winning the Flanders Darts Trophy last weekend – his third European Tour triumph on Belgian soil.

The 18-year-old has now won four of his last five tournaments and continues to close the gap on Humphries in the race to become world number one.

Menzies, meanwhile, reeled off five legs on the spin from 3-1 down to defeat Ian White with a 101 average and four 180s in his impressive opening salvo.

The evening session also sees World Cup of Darts winner Josh Rock begin his bid to go one better than last weekend’s runner-up spot in Antwerp when he faces former World Cup of Darts finalist William O’Connor.

Three-time World Champion Michael van Gerwen, the most decorated player in European Tour history, opens up against World Grand Prix champion Mike De Decker – who overcame European Champion Ritchie Edhouse 6-3 with a 101 average and a staggering eight 180s on Friday night.

World Matchplay runner-up James Wade, semi-finalist in Antwerp last weekend, starts out against Premier League star Nathan Aspinall – who whitewashed host nation qualifier Jiri Brejcha on his Euro Tour return as an unseeded player.

Fourth seed Stephen Bunting, the reigning International Open champion, takes on Dutch ace Kevin Doets – who dumped out Gurney with a 100 average in Round One.

Having missed out on the Flanders Darts Trophy through injury, seventh seed Gerwyn Price marks his return to action with a tricky tie against German star Niko Springer.

Two-time European Tour event winner Rob Cross meets Polish number one Krzysztof Ratajski – who thrashed Van Barneveld 6-1 with a 100.2 average in his opener.

The afternoon session includes a clash between Dutch World Cup team-mates Danny Noppert and Gian van Veen – who have both reached two previous European Tour finals.

German number one Martin Schindler begins his pursuit of a fourth European Tour title with a tie against Latvian number one Madars Razma, while former Masters champion Chris Dobey faces European Championship finalist Jermaine Wattimena.

Former European Champion Ross Smith starts out against former UK Open champion Andrew Gilding, while eight-time European Tour event winner Dave Chisnall aims to avoid a sixth straight second round exit when he takes on former Swiss Trophy finalist – Ryan Searle.

Two-time World Champion Peter Wright recorded his lowest-ever European Tour average (74.62) in a 6-1 defeat to Luke Woodhouse last weekend, and the Scottish veteran will be determined to bounce back by overcoming Slovenia’s Benjamin Pratnemer – who knocked out Ricardo Pietreczko in Round One.

Three-time European Tour event winner Jonny Clayton faces a tough opener against World Grand Prix semi-finalist Ryan Joyce, while ninth seed Damon Heta takes on emerging Dutch sensation Wessel Nijman – who edged out Richard Veenstra in a deciding leg on Friday.

The action gets under way from 12pm BST, with Second Round ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs.
