Flanders Darts Trophy 2025 | Day Three Preview and Order of Play
The tenth European Tour silverware of the season is up for grabs in Antwerp on Sunday as the last 16 do battle at the Flanders Darts Trophy.
A £30,000 top prize is on offer at the Antwerp Expo as eight seeds and eight qualifiers go head-to-head over two sessions.
The afternoon session plays host to the Third Round ties, before the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and final follow in the evening.
One of the stand-out ties of the Last 16 sees two-time World Series event winner Stephen Bunting take on World Cup of Darts winner Josh Rock.
The pair met in the Australian Darts Masters earlier this month, with Bunting running out a resounding 6-0 winner en route to reaching the semi-finals.
Bunting is bidding for his second European Tour title of the season, following on from April’s International Darts Open, and continued the form which led him to the Players Championship 25 title last Tuesday by thrashing Joe Cullen 6-1 with a 107.5 average in his opener.
Rock, meanwhile, survived two match darts from Karel Sedlacek as he sealed a narrow 6-5 victory with the aid of four 180s.
Reigning World Champion Luke Littler aims to continue his prolific record on Belgian soil when he takes on Ryan Searle.
Littler has claimed back-to-back Belgian Darts Open titles in Wize and opened up with a ruthless 6-0 whitewash of Dylan Slevin on Saturday.
The World Matchplay champion secured back-to-back World Series titles Down Under earlier this month and is featuring in his first European Tour event since April.
Gian van Veen’s reward for his Second Round success over Michael van Gerwen is a showdown with German number one Martin Schindler – who added his third European Tour title at the Austrian Open earlier this season.
World Matchplay runner-up James Wade resumes his quest for a first European Tour title since 2016 when he faces world number 117 Leon Weber – the lowest ranked player left standing in the competition.
Weber has already seen off Jermaine Wattimena and defending champion Dave Chisnall this weekend and will have his sights set on another major scalp.
Mario Vandenbogaerde carries the hopes of a nation on his shoulders as the last remaining Belgian in the event, and he takes on former UK Open champion Danny Noppert.
Vandenbogaerde has already put Michael Smith and Jonny Clayton to the sword, while Noppert opened up with a 6-4 win over Dutch compatriot Dirk van Duijvenbode.
Eighth seed Damon Heta faces a tough assignment against World Grand Prix semi-finalist Ryan Joyce – who edged out Ricardo Pietreczko on Friday before receiving a bye through to the Last 16 following Gerwyn Price’s late withdrawal.
Having seen off Andrew Gilding and Rob Cross so far this weekend, Austrian veteran Mensur Suljovic looks to continue his resurgent run when he faces Luke Woodhouse – who has recorded successive 6-1 thrashings of Johan Engstrom and Peter Wright.
Two unseeded hopefuls go head-to-head as two-time European Tour event winner Krzysztof Ratajski meets two-time major winner – Daryl Gurney.
The action gets under way from 12pm BST, with Third Round and Quarter-Final ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs, Semi-Finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
