The entry list for the 2025 Winmau World Masters Preliminary Rounds has been confirmed ahead of this week’s event in Milton Keynes.

A total of 129 players will be competing for eight places in the main stages of the Winmau World Masters on Wednesday January 29.

The top 24 players from the PDC Order of Merit are exempt through to the televised stage of the new-look event, which takes place from Thursday to Sunday, with all remaining Tour Card Holders eligible to compete in the Preliminary Rounds.

They are joined by players from the PDC’s secondary and affiliate tours, as well as four representatives from the JDC circuit.

The Preliminary Rounds will see 32 players seeded through to the Last 64 (players 25-56 on the PDC Order of Merit), plus 32 Group Winners from the Group Stage.

The field includes reigning European Champion Ritchie Edhouse, Grand Slam finalist Martin Lukeman, European Championship finalist Jermaine Wattimena and World Youth Champion Gian van Veen.

Two-time major winner Daryl Gurney, former BDO World Master Krzysztof Ratajski and 2024 ProTour event winners including Wessel Nijman, Cameron Menzies and Brendan Dolan will also start out in the Last 64.

Two-time BDO World Master Raymond van Barneveld is not competing in the Preliminary Rounds due to illness.

The Group Stage will see 32 players seeded as one per group (players 57-88 on the PDC Order of Merit), with the remaining players drawn at random to the groups.

Group Stage seeds include former Lakeside Champion Jelle Klaasen, former World Matchplay finalist Mensur Suljovic and Dom Taylor – who returns to competitive action after serving a one-month ban for failing a drugs test.

Unseeded Group Stage entrants include former World Master Wesley Plaisier, former Lakeside Champion Christian Kist, multiple Women’s World Champions Lisa Ashton and Mikuru Suzuki, as well as former Women’s World Matchplay champion Fallon Sherrock.

The Preliminary Rounds will commence from 12pm GMT, with matches to be contested over the best of three sets, best of three legs per set.
