Darts Walk-On Girls to make surprise televised return on the World Seniors Tour

Walk-on girls Daniella Allfree and Charlotte Wood will make a return to the televised stage in 2024 after taking up an ambassadorial role on the World Seniors Darts Tour.
The duo became synonymous with the sport after gracing its most iconic stages for a number of years until being axed by the PDC in 2018.
Now, they are set to end their six-and-a-half year absence at the World Seniors Matchplay in York in October.
The tournament, which takes place at the York Barbican from October 4-5, will be shown live on TNT Sports and the BBC Red Button and iPlayer.
It is one of the four WSDT ‘majors’, which are also comprised of the World Seniors Championship, the Champion of Champions and World Seniors Masters.
Daniella and Charlotte are set to be present at every WSDT televised event going forward and will meet and interact with fans, as well as accompanying the players to the stage.
“We are so happy to be have been asked to represent WSDT in an ambassadorial role,” said Daniella.
“It’s so pleasing to be able to be involved in the sport in any capacity, but this is a real honour.”
Charlotte added: “Me and Daniella are really looking forward to being a part of WSDT events, and especially meeting the fans and being at the side of the players as they walk on.
“It’s a pleasure to accept this role, and it’s one that we look forward to getting started on in York.”

The line-up at the World Seniors Matchplay is headed by 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor – making his penultimate appearance in a televised event ahead of his retirement at the end of the year.
Former World Champions John Part, Martin Adams, Glen Durrant, Neil Duff, Trina Gulliver and Lisa Ashton also feature, as well as former major champions Kevin Painter, Robert Thornton and John Henderson.
