German Darts Championship 2022 | Draw, Live Scores and Schedule of Play
PDC European Tour continues with the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.
The second of 13 European Tour events this season features 45 players battling it out for £140,000 in prize money at Halle 39 from March 11-13.
The top 16 players from the ProTour Order of Merit (as of February 1) are seeded and enter at the Second Round stage, while 32 qualifiers battle it out for the right to join them.
The 32 unseeded players are made up of 22 Tour Card Holder Qualifiers, two Associate Member Qualifiers, two Host Nation Qualifiers, the top two highest ranked Germans, one Nordic & Baltic Qualifier and one East European Qualifier.
Devon Petersen is the defending champion, having defeated Jonny Clayton 8-3 in the final of the most recent staging back in 2020.
Gerwyn Price’s withdrawal due to injury means Jose de Sousa is the number one seed, while Michael Smith and Peter Wright are seeded two and three respectively.
Premier League champion Jonny Clayton is the number four seed, while Masters Champion Joe Cullen is seeded fifth and 32-time Euro Tour event winner Michael van Gerwen is seeded sixth.
Dirk van Duijvenbode, Krzysztof Ratajski and Rob Cross are also among the seeds, while qualifiers include the likes of Chris Dobey, Adrian Lewis, Dave Chisnall and Alan Soutar.
All matches up to and including the Quarter-Finals are to be contested over the best of 11 legs, with Semi-Finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
