The Group Stage action continues at the 2021 Grand Slam of Darts on Sunday afternoon with the second set of fixtures from Groups A-D.

A potentially pivotal session in the race for knock-out qualification sees Saturday’s winners collide, while the losers from Day One also face off.

World number one Gerwyn Price has claimed this title on both previous visits to the Aldersley Leisure Village and began his quest for a third crown with a deciding leg victory over Nathan Rafferty.

The reigning World Champion now looks to rubber-stamp his place in the Last 16 by overcoming former World Masters champion Krzysztof Ratajski.

Ratajski, who reached the World Matchplay Semi-Finals in July, thrashed Martin Schindler 5-1 in Saturday’s opener and is bidding to reach the knock-out phase for the first time since 2018.

A make-or-break battle in Group A kicks off the afternoon session as German ace Schindler faces 21-year-old debutant Rafferty.

Northern Ireland’s Rafferty missed a match dart to defeat Price in his opener and will look to pick up from where he left off and record his first win on a televised PDC stage.

Group C sees reigning European Champion Rob Cross take on former BDO world finalist Jim Williams, with both having got off to the perfect start.

Cross whitewashed Boris Krcmar 5-0 in his opener and boasts a perfect record of having progressed from the group stage in all four previous Grand Slam appearances.

Williams, who recently secured a two-year Tour Card via the UK Challenge Tour, pulled off an impressive deciding leg win over James Wade and is out to reach the knock-out phase for the first time at the third attempt.

Three-time Grand Slam finalist Wade looks to bounce back from that narrow defeat by overcoming Croatian debutant Krcmar in their crucial show-down.

World Grand Prix and Premier League champion Jonny Clayton comes up against 2020 World Youth Champion Bradley Brooks in a clash of Saturday’s Group B winners.

Clayton averaged 101.5 in a 5-3 win over Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, while 21-year-old Brooks marked a dream debut by thrashing Mervyn King 5-1.

Meanwhile, Masters finalist King looks to galvanise his hopes of reaching the Last 16 when he meets Austrian newcomer Rusty-Jake Rodriguez.

Group D features a crunch clash between two of this year’s Players Championship winners as Chris Dobey and Stephen Bunting collide.

Dobey was drafted in as a late replacement from Dimitri van den Bergh and struggled to find his range in a 5-3 defeat to Rowby-John Rodriguez.

Bunting recorded the highest average of the opening day (106.7) but found himself on the wrong end of a last-leg defeat to Ryan Joyce.

Joyce, who came through last week’s Tour Card Holder qualifier, will look to effectively seal his spot in the Last 16 for the first time by overcoming World Cup finalist Rodriguez – who is making his first Grand Slam appearance since 2015.

The action gets under way from 1pm GMT, with group matches to be contested over the best of nine legs.
