WDF World Championship 2023 | Draw, Live Scores and Schedule of Play

The 2023 WDF World Championship takes place at Lakeside, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.

The second staging of the WDF World Championship will feature 78 players competing for the respective titles at the iconic Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green from December 2-10.

Neil Duff claimed the men’s title after he defeated France’s Thibault Tricole by six sets to five in a dramatic final in April 2022, while Beau Greaves whitewashed Kirsty Hutchinson 4-0 to become women’s World Champion for the first time.

The men’s field is headed by Belgium’s Andy Baetens – one of 16 seeded players who will enter in the Last 32 – which also include 2006 Lakeside Champion Jelle Klaasen, World Masters champion Wesley Plaisier, American ace Danny Lauby and defending champion Duff.

Three-time World Seniors televised event winner Leonard Gates is among those ranked 17-32 who will start out in the First Round, including former PDC World Championship semi-finalist Jamie Lewis, former PDC Tour Card holder James Richardson and Germany’s Liam Maendl-Lawrance.

Former UK Open semi-finalist David Pallett, Polish star Sebastian Białecki and Swedish veteran Dennis Nilsson are among those ranked 33-48.

The women’s draw is headed by top seed and defending champion Greaves, alongside second seed Aileen de Graaf and four-time World Champion Lisa Ashton.

Deta Hedman, Rhian O’Sullivan and Lorraine Winstanley are also among the eight seeds who will enter at the Last 16 stage.

The WDF has confirmed a new ‘hybrid strategy’ for broadcasting the event, which will see all matches streamed live on YouTube, while the event will also be available to view on Ayozat TV in the UK, as well as Fubo TV and Swerve Sports in the USA.

The final three days of the tournament, which was shown live on Eurosport and Discovery+ in 2022, are set to be broadcast on further outlets, which are yet to be confirmed by the WDF.
