Biography

Dutch legend Raymond van Barneveld is one of darts’ all-time greats, boasting a glittering career that has inspired generations.

A four-time Lakeside champion before switching to the PDC in 2006, ‘Barney’ made an immediate impact by winning the UK Open on debut and famously defeating Phil Taylor to claim the 2007 World Championship. He went on to add the Grand Slam of Darts, Premier League and multiple World Cup titles to his résumé, amassing eleven televised titles and 18 ProTour crowns along the way.

After briefly retiring in 2019, van Barneveld returned to the tour in 2021 and has since captured Players Championship titles to regain a place among the world’s top 32. With his iconic presence and passionate following, he remains a true icon of the sport.
