Biography

Max Hopp – known as the Maximiser – remains the standard bearer for German darts.

Hopp announced himself by winning the PDC World Youth Championship in 2015 and made history in 2018 as the first German player to win a European Tour title, lifting the German Darts Open in Saarbrucken before adding a Players Championship crown later that year. Those triumphs, combined with runs to major quarter-finals, inspired a boom in the sport across Germany.
Although results have been harder to come by in recent seasons, Hopp’s talent and experience continue to make him a fan favourite.
