Biography

World number two Luke Humphries has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence in recent seasons.

Humphries captured his first televised title at the 2023 World Grand Prix and followed up with victories at the Grand Slam of Darts and Players Championship Finals before lifting the World Championship in January 2024. He then steered England to World Cup of Darts glory, added the World Matchplay title and retained his Players Championship Finals crown later the same year.

In 2025 the man known as “Cool Hand” continued his hot streak by winning the World Masters and Premier League and adding the U.S. Darts Masters to his roll of honour. A prolific scorer with a smooth throw, Humphries is also a member of the nine-dart club and remains a leading contender for every major trophy.
