"The Flying Scotsman"
Biography
Two-time world champion Gary Anderson is regarded as one of darts’ all-time greats.
The “Flying Scotsman” joined the PDC in 2009 after success on the WDF circuit and achieved the rare feat of winning back-to-back World Championship titles at Alexandra Palace in 2015 and 2016. Earlier in his career he captured the 2007 International Darts League and World Darts Trophy before reaching the 2011 World Championship final.
Anderson has twice lifted the Premier League and in 2018 he completed a magical treble by winning the World Matchplay, UK Open and Champions League of Darts, then teamed up with Peter Wright to claim the World Cup of Darts in 2019. With a smooth throw, prolific scoring and three televised nine-darters to his name, the veteran Scot remains a formidable opponent.
