Premier League Darts 2026 | Night Six Nottingham Preview and Order of Play
Premier League Darts visits Nottingham for Night Six on Thursday as the battle for play-off places begins to heat up.
An enthralling start to the campaign has featured five different winners across the opening five nights, as well as a first nine-darter of this year’s competition.
A sold-out Nottingham Arena now plays host to the elite eight as they vie for crucial points and the £10,000 weekly bonus.
Luke Littler opened his account for the season at the fifth time of asking in Cardiff last time out, climbing four places to third in the league table.
The back-to-back World Champion carried that momentum into the weekend’s UK Open by emphatically retaining the title in Minehead, becoming the first player to achieve that feat in a decade.
The world number one now aims to make it back-to-back weekly titles and close in on top spot, which he has held down for the last two seasons.
Littler was beaten by Gerwyn Price in last year’s Night Six final in Nottingham, and the box office pair collide in the East Midlands once again.
The duo also contested the semi-final in Cardiff seven days ago, with Littler averaging 111 in a sensational 6-3 victory en route to glory.
Price sits second in the table, alongside Littler on nine points, having won Night Two in Antwerp and reached successive semi-finals in the last two weeks.
The former World Champion also reached the semi-finals of the UK Open before losing out 11-8 to James Wade despite a 101.4 average.
Meanwhile, league leader Jonny Clayton opens up against seven-time Premier League champion Michael van Gerwen.
Clayton has enjoyed a dream return to the Premier League so far and finds himself five points clear at the summit after winning Night Three, before finishing runner-up on home soil in Cardiff last week.
The Welsh number one is the only player in the field yet to suffer a quarter-final exit and continued his impressive form into the UK Open, reaching the Last Eight before losing out to Price.
Van Gerwen got off to a blistering start by winning Night One in Newcastle but has failed to add to his points tally since finishing runner-up the following week.
The three-time World Champion, who was thrashed 10-3 by Wade in the Last 16 of the UK Open, will be keen to ensure a swift return to the top four after dropping out last week.
Reigning champion Luke Humphries comes up against debutant Gian van Veen in another unmissable contest.
Humphries will be determined to ignite his Premier League campaign after registering just three wins from his opening eight matches.
That said, he boasts the highest tournament average (100.8) of the field, but has been left to rue costly missed doubles (33%) at crucial times in deciding legs.
Van Veen has proved to be a thorn in Humphries’ side on televised stages of late and has won seven of their last eight meetings in all competitions, including a semi-final victory on Night Three in Glasgow and a 7-5 success in the semi-finals of the subsequent Poland Darts Open.
The European Champion is one of three players locked on nine points, having finished runner-up in three of the opening five nights.
The bottom two in the table go head-to-head in the opening match of the night as Josh Rock continues his search for an elusive maiden Premier League win against Stephen Bunting.
Rock is rooted to the foot of the table following five straight quarter-final defeats, though last week marked his best performance so far, averaging 103.7 in a 6-4 loss to Littler.
Nine-dart hero on home soil in Belfast, Rock will have no concerns over his form, after reaching the semi-finals of the UK Open for the second successive year.
Bunting, meanwhile, bids for revenge after going down 10-7 to Rock in the Last 16 of the UK Open with an 89 average and slipped back into seventh in the Premier League table after a fourth defeat in five last time out.
The action gets under way from 7pm GMT, with all matches to be contested over the best of 11 legs.
