Premier League Darts 2025 Night 15 Preview and Order of Play | Play-off battle continues in Aberdeen
Premier League Darts heads to Aberdeen for the penultimate night of league fixtures on Thursday, with one play-off place still up for grabs.
Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price have already secured their place at The O2 and four players remain in the running for the last available spot.
A sold-out P&J Live plays host to this week’s action, which kicks off with a crucial showdown between fourth placed Michael van Gerwen and fifth placed Nathan Aspinall.
Seven-time champion Van Gerwen holds the upper-hand coming into the contest, leading Aspinall by one point, and this could prove to be a dress rehearsal for a straight shootout between the pair in Sheffield next week.
Van Gerwen is one of only two players yet to win a weekly title this season, having finished runner-up on two occasions, and suffered only his fourth quarter-final defeat of the campaign last week at the hands of Humphries.
The Dutch star, who missed Night Nine in Berlin through injury, would clinch the final play-off spot if he was to secure the nightly title in Aberdeen.
Aspinall has won three of the four meetings between the pair in this year’s event, and the Stockport star would move back into the top four if he can register another win over Mighty Mike.
Meanwhile, defending champion Littler aims to rubber-stamp top spot for the second successive season by overcoming rival Humphries.
Littler ended his debut campaign on 40 points and could match that tally with a night to spare by overcoming Humphries in the quarter-finals.
The pair met in last week’s final in Leeds, with crowd favourite Humphries prevailing in a deciding leg to clinch his third weekly title of the campaign.
The world number one is seven points adrift of Littler and the duo look to be on a collision course for a potential final showdown at The O2 in a re-run of last year’s epic.
Littler has racked up a record-breaking five nightly wins, as well as a record 149 180s and boasts a tournament average of 102.4, having reached the final in eight of the 14 nights so far.
Rob Cross and Chris Dobey go head-to-head in a quest to keep their slim play-off hopes alive.
Dobey must win each of the last two league nights if he is to have any chance of gate-crashing the play-offs, while Cross must also reach his first nightly final of the season in order to maintain his top four hopes going into the final week.
Since claiming the Night 11 title in Rotterdam, Dobey has suffered three consecutive quarter-final exits, notably squandering a 5-2 lead against Stephen Bunting last time out.
Cross is the only player in this year’s field yet to reach a nightly final and has mustered just one win in his last six Premier League outings.
Bunting is playing for pride after seeing his faint play-off hopes ended in Leeds last week despite reaching the semi-finals.
The former Lakeside champion is two points adrift at the foot of the table but will look to give himself a fighting chance of climbing out of the basement if he can overcome Price.
Price consolidated third spot by reaching the semi-finals last week to book his place at The O2 for only the second time in seven Premier League appearances.
The Welshman has picked up three nightly titles this season, as well as hitting a nine-darter in Manchester, and could still finish as high as second.
The action gets under way from 7pm BST, with all matches to be contested over the best of 11 legs.
