Chris Dobey claimed his first weekly title of the 2025 Premier League Darts season in Rotterdam courtesy of a dominant victory over Stephen Bunting in the final.

Dobey, who finished runner-up on Night One in Belfast, went one better at the Ahoy Arena to scoop the £10,000 bonus and re-ignite his play-off challenge.

The former Masters champion defeated Luke Humphries, Nathan Aspinall and Bunting to pick up maximum five points and climb to sixth in the league table.

The Bedlington ace registered ton-plus averages in each of his three matches and is now within three points of the Play-Off positions with five nights of league fixtures remaining.

“It’s a great feeling to be back in the winner’s circle,” said Dobey.

“I knew I could do it. It’s just about performing on the night, and I’ve put in three great performances today to put myself back in the mix.

“I’m a fighter. I’ve worked hard to get myself back amongst the elite, and I’m here to win.

“I believe I can still make the top four. I’ve shown tonight what I’m capable of, and I think with the way I performed tonight, I’ve got a good chance.”

Dobey opened up with an impressive 6-3 win over world number one Humphries, averaging 100 and landing six 180s in the process as he punished a below-par display from his visibly frustrated opponent.

The world number nine recorded a 100.5 average against Aspinall to complete a comfortable 6-2 success in the semi-finals with the aid of six 180s and six from nine on the doubles.

Dobey and Bunting – the bottom two in the league table heading into the evening – then went head-to-head for the Night 11 title, and it was the 34-year-old who prevailed in convincing fashion.

Bunting drew first blood in 13 darts, but a four-leg burst catapulted Dobey towards victory, which he wrapped up with a 101.8 average and six from nine on the doubles once again.

Bunting continued his resurgence in Rotterdam, enjoying deciding-leg wins over Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler to reach his second nightly final in the space of three weeks.

The 40-year-old denied home hero Van Gerwen in a dramatic quarter-final, before averaging 106.4 to withstand an inspired fightback from Littler in the semi-finals.

Littler and Cross had played out an enthralling contest, as the World Champion produced a sensational 145 checkout in the decider to defy a 110 average from Cross – who missed double 18 for a 150 checkout to snatch victory himself.

Meanwhile, Aspinall moved up to third thanks to a 6-3 win over an out of sorts Gerwyn Price in the quarter-finals, though his bid for back-to-back weekly titles was thwarted by Dobey.
