The draw for the seventeenth PDC Players Championship event of the season has been confirmed, with 128 players in action in Wigan.
The pair of £75,000 live-streamed floor tournaments will feature a star-studded field of 128 players battling it out at the Robin Park Tennis Centre from June 22-23.
Prize money acquired will count towards both the ProTour Order of Merit and the Main Order of Merit, with a £10,000 top prize up for grabs on both days.
For many players, it will be the final opportunity to earn prize money towards the qualification race for next month’s World Matchplay ahead of the cut off next weekend.
Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, Rob Cross and Raymond van Barneveld are among the big names to sit out Saturday’s event, leaving the door open for a number of in-form players to mount a title challenge.
Ian White, a two-time European Tour event winner this season, Grand Slam champion Gerwyn Price, Peter Wright, Michael Smith and James Wade are among the key contenders, as well as the likes of Dave Chisnall, Mensur Suljovic, Daryl Gurney and Glen Durrant.
Play commences from 12pm BST, with all matches from Round One to the Quarter-Finals contested over the best of 11 legs, Semi-Finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
Selected matches from two boards are streamed exclusively live online with commentary throughout the day.
