The inaugural Women’s World Matchplay takes place in Blackpool in 2022 and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.

The historic first fully-televised women’s tournament staged by the PDC will be held on Sunday July 24 at the Winter Gardens and will see eight players competing for £25,000 in prize money.

The winner will also secure a place in November’s Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.

The field is comprised of the top eight players from the PDC Women’s Series Order of Merit following Event 12 and is headed by top seed Lisa Ashton.

The four-time Women’s World Champion has dominated the PDC Women’s Series so far this year, racking up seven titles, and has also featured on the World Seniors circuit.

Ashton is in the opposite half of the draw to Fallon Sherrock – who has three Women’s Series titles to her name this season and has featured in the World Series of Darts.

Lorraine Winstanley, who picked up her first Women’s Series title earlier this year, is the number three seed, while 2015 World Masters winner Aileen de Graaf is seeded fourth.

The field also includes England’s Laura Turner, Wales’ Rhian Griffiths, 18-year-old Irish star Katie Sheldon and Scotland’s Chloe O’Brien.

Quarter-Final matches will be contested over the best of seven legs, with Semi-Finals best of nine and the final best of 11.
