Beau Greaves set for PDC Players Championship debut in Wigan

Reigning Women’s World Champion Beau Greaves will make her PDC ProTour debut at Players Championship 1-2 in Wigan.

The opening two Players Championship events of the season take place at the Robin Park Leisure Centre from February 10-11, as the newest additions to the professional circuit compete alongside the sport’s established stars.

The two £125,000 tournaments will see 128 players – comprised of PDC Tour Card Holders and PDPA Associate Members – competing across two days, with £15,000 on offer to the winner of each event.

Reigning Women’s World Matchplay champion and three-time Women’s World Champion Greaves will compete on the ProTour for the first time as a Challenge Tour top-up.

Greaves stormed to two Challenge Tour titles last month to move top of the Order of Merit and is one of three top-ups in the field for the first pair of Players Championship events.

With Michael van Gerwen, Jeffrey De Graaf and Benjamin Reus not competing in Wigan, Greaves joins Stefan Bellmont and Carl Sneyd as a Challenge Tour representative.

Reigning World Champion Luke Littler and world number one Luke Humphries will be among the star names in action, as well as the likes of Gary Anderson, Peter Wright and Dave Chisnall.

New Tour Card holders including Tom Bissell, Maximilian Czerwinski, Adam Lipscombe, Pero Ljubic and Jim Long will also make their ProTour debuts.
