Gerwyn Price resumes his Nordic Darts Masters title defence with a mouth-watering quarter-final against Luke Humphries on Saturday.

The third World Series event of 2025 will play to a finish at Forum Copenhagen, where the top eight seeds remain after avoiding any upsets on the opening night.

Price, who lifted the trophy 12 months ago, is aiming to become the first player to successfully defend the Nordic Darts Masters crown.

‘The Iceman’ produced the strongest individual performance of the first round, averaging just over 100 as he snapped a four-match losing streak with a 6-3 victory over Norway’s Cor Dekker.

Price – also a runner-up in the Danish capital in 2023 – will now look to build on that momentum in his quest for a sixth World Series title, though he faces a tough test in recently crowned Premier League champion Humphries.

The world number one was given a fright in round one by Madars Razma, who recovered from 5-2 down to force a deciding leg, but delivered when it mattered most with a superb 125 checkout on the bull getting him over the line.

‘Cool Hand’ is aiming to reach his second straight Nordic Darts Masters semi-final, and remain on course for a second World Series crown.

Meanwhile, Luke Littler looks to maintain his dominant record over Nathan Aspinall when the pair collide in another eye-catching quarter-final showdown.

‘The Nuke’ has won 14 of his 15 encounters with ‘the Asp’, including all six in this year’s Premier League.

Littler reeled off the last four legs to overcome fellow Copenhagen debutant Viktor Tingstrom in round one, but knows he will need to be quicker out of the blocks on Saturday to stay on track for a fourth title of the season.

Not only that, but Aspinall is now on a six-match winning streak following his European Darts Open triumph last weekend.

The 2019 US Darts Masters champion enjoyed the most emphatic victory of the opening round, whitewashing home favourite Benjamin Reus 6-0 with a top checkout of 138 along the way.

Top seed Stephen Bunting bids for his third straight World Series final appearance this season, with Jonny Clayton providing his first obstacle of the day.

‘The Bullet’ triumphed in Bahrain and was runner-up in Den Bosch, and built on that momentum here with a 6-3 win over Oskar Lukasiak in round one.

Meanwhile, World Masters runner-up Clayton survived two match darts before eventually seeing off Darius Labanauskas 6-5.

Although, ‘the Ferret’ did produce a superb 170 checkout, and will use that for inspiration in his bid for a third title this season.

Rob Cross is eyeing his sixth World Series title, with quarter-final opponent Chris Dobey eager to add his name to the roll of honour.

Dutch Darts Masters champion Cross ended a four-game losing streak with a 6-4 win over Andreas Harrysson in round one, and will hope that is the springboard towards further success in the series.

As for Dobey, who beat Jeffrey de Graaf 6-2, he only entered this tournament at the 11th hour as a replacement for Michael van Gerwen. Therefore, the World Championship semi-finalist will not be under as much pressure as he looks to embrace his unexpected opportunity.

Play gets under way at 6pm BST at Forum Copenhagen on Saturday. Quarter-final matches will be contested over the best of 11 legs, while semi-finals are best of 13 and final best of 15.
