Luke Littler and Luke Humphries renew their era-defining rivalry in the final of the 2025 Grand Slam of Darts on Sunday night.

The world’s top two ranked stars meet in a major final for the sixth time in less than two years as they vie to reclaim the Eric Bristow Trophy.

Littler has won three of their five previous meetings in major finals, including a six sets to one rout in last month’s World Grand Prix.

The 18-year-old heads into their latest showdown on the back of a landmark semi-final win over Danny Noppert which saw him guarantee the world number one spot for the first time.

Littler stormed to the top of Group E with maximum points, dropping just five legs in the process, before thrashing Wessel Nijman 10-4 with a 105.4 average in the Last 16.

The reigning World Champion recovered from 9-6 down to overcome Josh Rock 16-12 in an epic quarter-final with a 105.2 average, before defying ten 180s and a 100 average from Noppert to extend his unbeaten run at the Aldersley Leisure Village to 13 matches.

Littler is bidding to become only the fourth player to successfully retain this title since 2007 and seal a fifth major ranking title of the calendar year to follow on from the World Championship, UK Open, World Matchplay and World Grand Prix.

After defeating Littler in the final of the Premier League in May, Humphries has lost in the two most recent major ranking finals and is vying to become only the fourth multiple winner of this tournament.

After blitzing to the top of Group A with maximum points and notably landing a nine-darter along the way, the top seed defied a freak injury scare to thrash debutant Jurjen van der Velde 10-3 in the Last 16 108.5 average, despite contemplating withdrawing from the event just hours earlier.

He then swept aside 2022 champion Michael Smith 16-8 in the quarter-finals with a 105 average, before averaging 106.2 with the aid of a remarkable 16 maximums in a thrilling 16-13 win over Gerwyn Price on Sunday afternoon.

Humphries, who boasts a higher tournament average and more 180s than Littler this week, is targeting a ninth major title in the space of two years

The final gets under way from 7.30pm GMT and will be contested over the best of 31 legs.
