PDC Order of Merit following the 2022 Czech Darts Open | Humphries enters top 16
Luke Humphries has broken into the world’s top 16 for the first time following his Czech Darts Open triumph on Sunday.
Humphries secured his second European Tour title in the space of a month as he defeated Rob Cross in the final in Prague to claim another £25,000 top prize.
German Darts Grand Prix winner in April, the 27-year-old has now leapfrogged Nathan Aspinall and Ryan Searle into the top 16 on the PDC Order of Merit.
He is now in line to be seeded for the World Matchplay and sits second on the European Tour Order of Merit behind Michael van Gerwen.
The only other movement inside the elite top 16 saw Dimitri van den Bergh climb above Jonny Clayton into the world number eight spot, with the Belgian having reached the final of the European Darts Open a week earlier.
Rowby-John Rodriguez’ run to the Quarter-Finals in Prague saw him climb nine places to 83rd, having regained his Tour Card at Qualifying School in January.
Jose Justicia climbed six places to 96th after defeating Clayton en route to the Last 16 – where he was narrowly denied in a last-leg decider by Jose de Sousa.
Mickey Mansell, who was denied by MVG in a Third Round decider, moves up 13 places to world number 105 after also regaining his Tour Card at the beginning of the year.
Adrian Lewis remains world number 39 after defeating Gerwyn Price on his way to the Last 16 and is currently among the provisional ProTour qualification places for the World Matchplay.
Ricky Evans and Ross Smith – who reached the Last 16 and Quarter-Finals in Prague respectively – occupy the final two places at the Winter Gardens as it stands.
