The International Darts Open returns to Riesa in 2024, and a live stream is available for all matches online.
The third of 13 European Tour events this season sees 48 players competing for £175,000 in prize money at the SACHSENarena from April 12-14.
A notable change to the qualifying criteria this year means the top 16 players in the PDC Order of Merit qualify automatically alongside the 16 highest ranked players on the PDC ProTour Order of Merit – who are seeded in the draw.
A further ten players qualified via the Tour Card holder qualifying event, plus four Host Nation qualifiers, one Nordic & Baltic Associate Member qualifier and one East European Associate Member qualifier.
Gerwyn is the defending champion after he defeated Michael van Gerwen 8-4 in last year’s final to claim his fourth title in the last five stagings of the event.
A high quality field which also includes reigning World Champion Luke Humphries, top seed Dave Chisnall and Premier League stars Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross and Peter Wright.
Masters champion Stephen Bunting, Damon Heta, Josh Rock, Jonny Clayton and Ryan Searle are also among the seeds.
James Wade, Raymond van Barneveld, Dimitri van den Bergh and Chris Dobey also feature, while qualifiers include Simon Whitlock, Mervyn King and Cameron Menzies.
Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson have withdrawn from the competition and have been replaced by Lee Evans and Dylan Slevin from the Reserve List.
All matches will be available to watch live on laptop, mobile and tablet in various regions worldwide.
