The seeded stars commence their 2024 European Darts Grand Prix campaigns in Round Two in Sindelfingen on Saturday.

Day One at the Glaspalast saw a host of big names bow out, including two-time World Champion Peter Wright, ten-time major winner James Wade, Joe Cullen and Gian van Veen.

The 16 highest ranked players from the PDC ProTour Order of Merit enter the fray on Day Two, including reigning champion Rob Cross – who faces a showdown with man of the moment Martin Schindler.

Cross claimed his first European Tour title here 12 months ago with victory over Luke Humphries in the final, and ‘Voltage’ faces a formidable opener against new German number one Schindler – who picked up his first Euro Tour title last weekend.

Schindler seemingly picked up from where he left off in Riesa as he thrashed Van Veen 6-2 with a blistering 108.8 average on Friday to kick-start his bid for back-to-back titles.

The evening session also plays host to a repeat of the World Championship final between Humphries and Luke Littler.

Since losing to Humphries in that historic final at Ally Pally, Littler has incredibly won their next six meetings, four of which coming in the Premier League, and this will be the first encounter between the duo on the European Tour.

Two former World Champions also renew their rivalry as Michael Smith takes on Raymond van Barneveld.

Smith is a six-time Euro Tour event winner, most recently last season, and was runner-up in Thursday’s Premier League Night 12 in Rotterdam, while Van Barneveld recorded his first Euro Tour win of the season last night by defeating German qualifier Franz Rötzsch 6-2.

Michael van Gerwen launches his quest for a first Euro Tour title of the year with a tie against Sweden’s Johan Engstrom.

Van Gerwen’s Premier League homecoming in Rotterdam was abruptly ended by Humphries in the quarter-finals, and the three-time World Champion will be keen to bounce back and put in a strong showing against the Nordic & Baltic Qualifier – who averaged 99 in a sensational 6-1 rout of Cullen in Round One.

Eight-time Euro Tour event winner Gerwyn Price opens up against Brendan Dolan in a repeat of their meeting at the same stage of proceedings in Riesa last week, which the Welshman won 6-4 en route to finishing runner-up.

Two-time World Champion Gary Anderson, a Players Championship event winner this season whose sole Euro Tour triumph came in 2014, meets Christian Perez – who became the first Filipino to win a match on the European Tour when he defeated Niels Zonneveld 6-4 on Friday.

Two of Germany’s top darting talents collide as German Championship winner Ricardo Pietreczko faces Gabriel Clemens – who thrashed Rene Eidams 6-1 on opening night.

Mickey Mansell’s reward for a nail-biting 6-5 win over Wright in Round One is a clash against fourth seed Damon Heta – former Gibraltar Trophy champion.

The afternoon session sees former Premier League champion Jonny Clayton looking to return to winning ways when he faces former Masters champion Chris Dobey.

Former European Champion Ross Smith plays recent ProTour semi-finalist Luke Woodhouse, as World Championship semi-finalist Scott Williams comes up against former World Master Krzysztof Ratajski.

Another stand-out tie sees Masters champion Stephen Bunting face Players Championship event winner Ryan Searle, while former UK Open champion Danny Noppert takes on two-time major winner Daryl Gurney.

Top seed Dave Chisnall looks to put his recent struggle for form behind him when he faces former UK Open semi-finalist Keane Barry.

Multiple Euro Tour finalist Dirk van Duijvenbode faces a tough test against in-form Ritchie Edhouse – quarter-finalist in last week’s International Open and a 6-2 winner over Wade with a 103 average on Friday.

Former Austrian Open finalist Josh Rock starts out against Jeffrey Sparidaans – who thrashed Callan Rydz 6-1 in Round One.

The action gets under way from 12pm GMT, with Second Round ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs.
