The 2023 European Darts Grand Prix draws to a close in Sindelfingen on Sunday as the 16 remaining players compete for the title.

A £30,000 top prize is on offer at the Glaspalast as ten seeds and six qualifiers collide over two sessions.

The afternoon session plays host to the Third Round ties, before the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and final follow in the evening.

The Last 16 action kicks off with a clash between defending champion Luke Humphries and five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld.

Top seed Humphries is vying for his first European Tour title of the season, having lost in three finals so far this year, and came through a dramatic last-leg decider against Chris Dobey on Saturday after initially missing eight match darts.

Van Barneveld, in contrast, coasted to a 6-0 whitewash of UK Open champion Andrew Gilding to reach the final day of a Euro Tour event for the first time since 2019.

Fifth seed Gerwyn Price continues his quest for a third Euro Tour title of the year when he faces home hero Martin Schindler.

Price claimed successive titles in Leverkusen and Riesa earlier in the year and is out to bounce back from his defeat in Thursday’s Premier League final.

Schindler saw off World Cup team-mate Gabriel Clemens 6-3 in his opener but will be eyeing a marked improvement on his match average of 87.5 if he is to trouble the 2021 World Champion.

Two of the sport’s hottest young prospects go head-to-head on the European Tour for the first time as Josh Rock takes on Gian van Veen.

Rock is the reigning World Youth champion and whitewashed Keegan Brown in Round Two, while Van Veen has racked up three Development Tour titles this season and has already dispatched Jermaine Wattimena and Danny Noppert this weekend.

Two former European Tour event winners collide as fourth seed Damon Heta faces 13th seed Joe Cullen – who edged out Josh Payne with a ton-plus finish in a deciding leg on Saturday.

Two-time European Champion Rob Cross comes up against veteran Scotsman Ross Montgomery – who pulled off a shock Second Round victory over Jonny Clayton to reach this stage of a Euro Tour event for the first time.

Dave Chisnall is chasing down a third Euro Tour title of the season, but faces a tough test from Polish number one Krzysztof Ratajski – who averaged 107.4 in defeating Graham Usher, before edging out Dimitri van den Bergh 6-5.

Nathan Aspinall, runner-up in last month’s German Darts Grand Prix, looks to end the run of Latvian ace Madars Razma – who thrashed an out of sorts Ryan Searle 6-1 in the Second Round.

Reigning European Champion Ross Smith, who whitewashed Steve Beaton 6-0 in Round Two, now plays a resurgent Daryl Gurney – whose sole Euro Tour title to date came at the 2019 German Championship.

Gurney has already seen off Dylan Selvin and Dirk van Duijvenbode this weekend, cementing his place in July’s World Matchplay in the process.

The action gets under way from 12pm BST, with Third Round and Quarter-Final ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs, Semi-Finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
