The sixth European Tour silverware of the season is up for grabs as the 16 remaining players collide at the Austrian Darts Open in Graz on Sunday.

Nine seeds and seven qualifiers remain in the running for the £35,000 top prize at the Stadthalle as they battle it out over two sessions.

The afternoon session plays host to the Last 16 ties, before the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final follow in the evening.

A first-time European Tour event winner is guaranteed in 2026, and Martin Schindler will be hoping he can become only the second player to successfully retain this title.

Schindler, who claimed his third European Tour title here last year, opened up with a commanding 6-2 win over Peter Wright on Saturday and now comes up against Ross Smith.

Eighth seed Smith averaged 102 in a 6-3 victory over Niels Zonneveld and is bidding to make it back-to-back finals on the European Tour, having finished runner-up in last month’s European Darts Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, Michael van Gerwen resumes his quest for a fifth Austrian Open title with a tie against 2018 World Champion Rob Cross.

Van Gerwen averaged 103.4 in a 6-3 success against Krzysztof Ratajski in Round Two but has not featured in a European Tour final since last April.

Cross remains outside of the provisional qualification places for July’s World Matchplay but bolstered his hopes by defeating William O’Connor 6-3 on Saturday with a 97.5 average.

Josh Rock, runner-up here in 2023, takes on last year’s Hungarian Darts Trophy winner – Niko Springer.

Rock brushed aside Hungary’s Patrik Kovacs in his opener, while Springer followed up a first round win over Nick Kenny by sensationally whitewashing in-form Wessel Nijman 6-0 with a 100.2 average.

Nine-dart hero Cristo Reyes looks to raise the roof at the Stadthalle once again when he faces 2022 Austrian Open finalist Danny Noppert.

Reyes produced perfection en route to a 6-4 victory over Damon Heta on Saturday afternoon and is now vying to reach a first quarter-final on the European Tour since 2017.

Noppert, meanwhile, battled through a bout of illness to edge out Alan Soutar in a last-leg decider after surviving three match darts.

Ten-time major winner James Wade, whose last European Tour title came back in 2016, takes on former European Tour finalist Luke Woodhouse.

Wade silenced the partisan Austrian crowd by defeating home hero Mensur Suljovic 6-2 with a 103.2 average on Saturday, while Woodhouse averaged 100.7 in a 6-1 rout of Rob Owen.

Kevin Doets, who picked up his first Players Championship title earlier in the week, looks to maintain his blistering run of form when he meets former European Tour finalist Ryan Joyce.

Kim Huybrechts, a two-time European Tour winner, looks to continue his resurgent run of form when he comes up against two-time European Tour finalist Andrew Gilding.

Having dumped out top seed Gian van Veen in a deciding leg on Saturday, Madars Razma now takes on 16th seed Daryl Gurney – whose sole European Tour title to date came in 2019.

The action gets under way from 12pm BST, with Last 16 and quarter-final ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs, semi-finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
