The European Darts Championship returns to Dortmund in 2023, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.
This year’s European Championship takes place at the Westfalenhallen in Dortmund from October 26-29 and features a total prize fund of £500,000.
The field is comprised of the top 32 players from the European Tour Order of Merit following the 13 Euro Tour events held throughout the season.
Ross Smith is the defending champion after he defeated Michael Smith 11-8 in last year’s final to claim his first major televised title.
Michael van Gerwen is bidding to claim a record fifth European Championship title, while Rob Cross is eyeing his third title since 2019.
Peter Wright and James Wade are the other former champions in the field, while 2019 runner-up Gerwyn Price is aiming to lift this trophy for the first time.
World Champion Michael Smith, World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall, World Grand Prix champion Luke Humphries and World Cup of Darts winner Jonny Clayton are among the other leading contenders.
World Youth Championship finalist Gian van Veen and German Darts Championship winner Ricardo Pietreczko will make their debuts in the competition.
First Round matches are to be contested over the best of 11 legs, with Second Round and Quarter-Finals best of 19 and the Semi-Finals and final best of 21.
