The 14th staging of the European Darts Championship takes place in Salzburg, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.

The top 32 players on the 2021 European Tour Order of Merit will battle it out for the title and £500,000 prize fund across four days in front of up to 3,500 fans per session at the Salzburgarena.

This year’s PDC European Tour was comprised of just two events – the Hungarian Darts Trophy and the Gibraltar Darts Trophy – thus resulting in a number of debutant qualifiers.

Peter Wright is the defending champion, having defeated James Wade 11-4 in last year’s final in Oberhausen, Germany.

Michael van Gerwen has won this event on four consecutive occasions between 2014 and 2017, while James Wade and Rob Cross claimed glory in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

World number one Gerwyn Price is the top seed, having won both Euro Tour events this season, with 2016 finalist Mensur Suljovic seeded number two and Brendan Dolan seeded number three.

The likes of Jose De Sousa, Michael Smith, Krzysztof Ratajski, Nathan Aspinall, Joe Cullen and 2012 champion Simon Whitlock will also be vying for the title.

Debutants include former World Masters champion Adam Smith-Neale, Lewy Williams, Adam Gawlas, William Borland, Keane Barry and Florian Hempel.

The tournament runs from October 14-17, with First Round matches to be contested over the best of 11 legs, Second Round and Quarter-Finals best of 19 and Semi-Finals and final best of 21.
