The 2026 Hungarian Darts Trophy draws to a close on Sunday as the remaining 16 hopefuls battle it out in Budapest.
Twelve seeds and four qualifiers remain in the running for the £35,000 top prize at the MVM Dome as they lock horns over two sessions.
The afternoon session plays host to the Last 16 ties, before the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final follow in the evening.
Michael van Gerwen, the 2024 champion, resumes his quest for a first European Tour title of the year with a showdown against Nathan Aspinall.
Van Gerwen overcame a resilient James Hurrell 6-4 in the opening round, while Aspinall saw off Ryan Joyce by the same scoreline to kick-start his bid for a second European Tour title of the season.
Gary Anderson marks his first appearance in the Last 16 of a European Tour event this season with a tie against seventh seed Stephen Bunting.
Anderson, who has picked up silverware on the European Tour in each of the past two years, produced the stand-out performance of the second round as he averaged 105.3 in a 6-2 rout of Krzysztof Ratajski to kick-start his late bid for European Championship qualification.
Bunting, meanwhile, brushed aside Finland’s Jonas Masalin 6-1 with a 97 average to move within £1,500 of the provisional European Championship places.
Austrian Darts Open champion Josh Rock, who emphatically whitewashed Joe Cullen on Saturday night, comes up against 11th seed Chris Dobey – who recovered from 4-0 down to deny Tom Sykes in a last-leg decider.
Former champion Dave Chisnall aims to take another big step towards World Grand Prix and European Championship qualification by ending the resurgent run of Keane Barry.
Chisnall tore up the form book by dumping out two-time European Tour winner Wessel Nijman in Round Two, while Barry is featuring in the Last 16 of a European Tour event for the first time in three years following 6-2 wins over Martin Schindler and Madars Razma.
Two multiple finalists vying for their elusive first European Tour title go head-to-head as eighth seed Danny Noppert faces ninth seed Ryan Searle.
Reigning European Champion Gian van Veen takes on former European Championship runner-up Jermaine Wattimena – who claimed his third Players Championship title in midweek.
The opening match of the afternoon sees former World Champion Rob Cross face multiple European Tour finalist Dirk van Duijvenbode.
Cross has already seen off Beau Greaves and Luke Woodhouse in last-leg deciders with successive ton-plus averages, while Van Duijvenbode dumped out top seed Luke Humphries in Round Two.
Another blockbuster tie sees recent New Zealand Masters champion Jonny Clayton meet International Darts Open champion Ross Smith.
The action gets under way from 12pm BST, with Last 16 and quarter-final ties to be contested over the best of 11 legs, semi-finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
