The final eight face off in a quest to be crowned 2026 World Cup of Darts champions in Frankfurt on Sunday.
After three days of enthralling pairs competition, eight of the top 14 seeded nations will compete for the prestigious title at the Eissporthalle.
The afternoon session plays host to the quarter-final ties, before the semi-finals and final follow in the evening.
Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney made history by securing Northern Ireland’s maiden World Cup crown 12 months ago and are vying to become the first duo to successfully retain the trophy since Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld of the Netherlands in 2018.
Rock and Gurney opened up with a hard-fought deciding-leg win over Belgium’s Mike De Decker and Dimitri van den Bergh on Saturday and now come up against rank outsiders Latvia.
Madars Razma and Valters Melderis, the number 14 seeds, have broken new ground for Latvia this week, edging through Group J despite suffering a shock defeat to Trinidad & Tobago, before digging deep to deny France in a deciding leg.
Meanwhile, top seeds England resume their quest for a sixth World Cup of Darts title as Luke Littler and Humphries face Jonny Clayton and Nick Kenny of Wales.
Having most recently contested an all-time classic Premier League final little over a fortnight ago, the two World Champions atoned for last year’s shock exit to Germany by registering their first win as a pair at the expense of Spain on Saturday.
Two-time champions Wales, meanwhile, followed up their wins over Lithuania and Thailand in Group C by dispatching USA 8-5 in the Last 16.
Fourth seeds Scotland continue their bid for a third PDC World Cup title with a tie against Republic of Ireland in a repeat of the 2019 final.
Gary Anderson and his debutant doubles partner Cameron Menzies made an emphatic start on Saturday by whitewashing Norway 8-0 with a 99.4 average.
William O’Connor produced a stand-out display alongside first-time partner Mickey Mansell as they defeated Singapore and Gibraltar in Group D, before seeing off Poland’s Krzysztof Ratajski and Sebastian Białecki 8-5.
Three-time champion Van Gerwen marked his return to the Netherlands side alongside European Champion Gian van Veen as the formidable Dutch duo battled past Jeffrey De Graaf and Oskar Lukasiak 8-6 in their opener.
Van Gerwen has featured in this event only once since 2021, while Van Veen enjoyed a run to the semi-finals on debut alongside Danny Noppert last year.
The Dutch pair now meet hosts Germany – represented by Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko – in what promises to be a tasty encounter in front of a packed Frankfurt crowd.
The action gets under way from 12pm BST (1pm local time), with semi-final matches to be contested over the best of 15 legs and the final best of 19.
