Biography

William Borland etched his name into darts folklore with a moment of perfection on the sport’s biggest stage.

The Scottish thrower produced a sensational nine-dart finish to win a sudden-death deciding leg against Bradley Brooks at the 2022 World Championship, becoming the first player to complete a televised match-winning nine-darter. A former World Youth Championship finalist, Borland regained his Tour Card in 2024 and continues to thrill crowds with his explosive scoring and fearless approach.

He remains on the hunt for a breakthrough ranking title to accompany his famous moment at Ally Pally.
