Biography

Czech trailblazer Karel Sedláček enjoyed his breakthrough season in 2024.

Sedláček, nicknamed “Evil Charlie”, has long flown the flag for Czech darts and enjoyed his finest year to date when a Players Championship semi-final and quarter-final booked his place at a fourth World Championship. A stalwart of the World Cup of Darts, he has represented his country on eight occasions and has featured in all the major ranking events.

Having returned to the PDC tour in recent seasons, Sedláček combines heavy scoring with a steely finishing game. His consistency in 2024 saw him reach the latter stages on the ProTour and once again qualify for Alexandra Palace, while his appearances at the UK Open, European Championship and Players Championship Finals underline his stature on the circuit.
